Ingrid Bekkevold wrote this Christian song as a call to those who are unconverted or struggling. She understood that Jesus was the new, living Way to peace, joy, and freedom from sin. It is sung here by Buddy Coblentz.

Dear wayward soul, into sin led astray,
From peace and happiness, so far away,

Count all as dung that this world has to give
